All MPSD schools and office will be closed on Friday, April 18, 2025, for Easter Break. Offices will reopen on Monday, April 21, 2025, for Parent-Teacher Conferences on all MPSD campuses. Students will return to school on Tuesday, April 22, 2025.
Meridian, MS – April 14, 2025 – The Meridian Public School District is proud to announce its upcoming Festival of the Arts, a vibrant celebration of student creativity, talent, and expression, set to take place on Thursday, April 24, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at The Mississippi Arts + Entertainment Experience (The MAX), with performances beginning at 5:30 p.m.

The annual recognition highlights the dedication and excellence of teachers who have made significant contributions to student success and academic achievement.
MPSD Headlines
The Meridian High School Choir traveled to St. Louis, Missouri on April 4, 2025, to participate in a national competition hosted by Music in the Parks. Competing against 12 outstanding choirs from across the country, our talented students proudly brought home second place!
The MHS Track teams had stellar showings at the Gaston Hewes Relays on Friday, April 11, 2025, in Gulfport, MS.
The MHS Boys Track team finished first overall out of thirteen teams, while the Lady Cats finished 2nd overall our of thirteen teams.
Thank you to the teachers who participated in the New Teacher Cohort 2024-25. Your innovative approaches to lesson delivery have not only engaged students, but also inspired them to think critically and creatively.

Any Given Child
Arts Integrated City
The city of Meridian was selected in August of 2016 by the Kennedy Center for a multi-year, Pre-K-8 arts integration program called Any Given Child.
