MERIDIAN, Miss. — The Meridian Public School District’s Little Wildcat Pre-K Academy is one of the 20 school districts awarded a grant by the Mississippi State Board of Education to implement a State Invested Pre-K program.
Over 50 students in grades 3-8 in the Meridian Public School District spent the week of June 8-13, at “CAMP IGNITE,” the district’s first STEAM Camp.
The weeklong camp challenges students to work in teams, use critical thinking, and theirs hands to complete a project they will present to other campers at the end of the week.
The Meridian Public School District is excited to announce the return of the Summer Feeding Program! The program is Monday, June 2 until Friday, July 25, 2025.

MPSD Headlines
24 students from Carver Elementary are participating in a STEM+Literacy Day Camp this week at MCM-Meridian. Students begin the day with a book that is read aloud, incorporating literacy connections, and then proceed with science, math, technology, art, and activities throughout the remainder of the day.

The city of Meridian was selected in August of 2016 by the Kennedy Center for a multi-year, Pre-K-8 arts integration program called Any Given Child.
