Wildcats Capture 2024 State Championship
The Meridian High Wildcats became the first MHSAA Boys’ 7A State Basketball champions with a thrilling 54-50 win over the Clinton Arrows on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at the Mississippi Coliseum.

MHS administration holds groundbreaking for MHS Entrance Addition
There will be a noticeable change taking place on the Meridian High School Campus shortly as work begins on the MHS Administration and Entrance Addition that will add a consolidated entrance to the campus. The official groundbreaking ceremony took place on Monday, February 26, 2024, on the campus of Meridian High School.

Pre-K Registration now open
Registration for the 2024-2025 Little Wildcats Pre-K Program will begin on February 1, 2024. Students must be 4 years old on or before September 1, 2024, to qualify for the program.

MHS' Walker named Star Student, Pulido selected as Star Teacher
Congratulations to MHS Senior George Walker on being selected as the Meridian High School STAR STUDENT for the 2023-2024 school year by the Mississippi Economic Council (MEC) Students Teacher Achievement Recognition (STAR) program. Walker selected Ross Collins instructor Marti Pulido as his STAR Teacher.

Parkview's Wright wins award at Elementary BETA Convention
Twelve Parkview Elementary Beta Club members recently traveled to Biloxi, MS, to participate in the Elementary Beta Club State Conference. During the convention, students were able to participate in many different categories of events ranging from sculpture, math, science, social studies, and spelling.

Wildcats leap into 7A State Championship game
Leap Year proved to be lucky for the Meridian High Boys’ Basketball team as they will play for a State Championship for the first time since 2018.

Meridian High School Beta Club Participates in State Competition
National Beta members from Meridian High School are celebrating their recent participation in the Mississippi Senior Beta State Convention. This is the third year the club has attended the State Convention, but it is the first year they have participated in the competitions.

The Mississippi Scholastic Chess Association (MSCA) held its annual State Championship Cup on Saturday, March 9, 2024, in Starkville, Mississippi. This event is considered the organization’s largest and most representative tournament for chess in the state of Mississippi.
