The Meridian Public School District is so thankful to our community for helping us positively impact our students and their future. We have a rich history of support within the City of Meridian and this bond vote will impact the children of Meridian for years to come. The passing of the bond will allow us to make upgrades across the district in many key areas and allow us to continue to provide safe, modern learning environments for our students."

MPSD Board of Trustees approves resolution for $34 Million No Tax Increase Bond Special Election on August 9, 2022

June 30, 2022 -- The Meridian Public School District Board of Trustees voted to move forward with a bond election on August 9, 2022.

Tentative plans for the bond include upgrades to safety and security on our campuses (i.e. secure entrances and fencing); an on-campus MHS baseball and softball complex, renovations to middle schools, and ADA accessibility on campuses. Our upgrades to elementary schools include learning spaces, media centers, science labs, playgrounds, and auditoriums.

We would love for the citizens of Meridian to join us for one of three informative community meetings about renovations and additions to our facilities. Community meetings will be held on the following dates: June 30, July 28, & August 2, 2022. The first two meetings will take place at the MHS Multipurpose Building and will begin at 6 p.m. The meeting on August 2, 2022, will take place in the MHS Gym at 6 p.m. All meetings are open to the public.

The most exciting thing about the bond election on August 9, 2022, is that it comes with no tax increase for Meridian citizens. We look forward to sharing more information soon about how you can help us move our schools forward.

“I’m excited about the potential that the bond issue has for the Meridian Community,”  said Dr. Amy Carter, MPSD Superintendent.
