Board approves 2026-2027 Academic Calendar

UPDATED ON MARCH 25, 2026

The amended 2026-2027 academic calendar was approved by the MPSD Board of Trustees on Tuesday, March 24, 2026. The change to the calendar affects the date for one of the scheduled Parent-Teacher Conferences.

The Parent-Teacher Conference originally scheduled for February 17, 2027, will now take place on Monday, March 29, 2027. This will STILL BE A STUDENT HOLIDAY, but PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES will take place from 10.am.-6p.m. on all MPSD Campuses.

There were no other changes to the calendar.

2026-2027 MPSD ACADEMIC CALENDAR

The Meridian Public School District Board of Trustees approved the 2026-2027 Academic Calendar during their monthly regular meeting on Tuesday, February 17, 2026.

Teacher professional development will take place on August 3-6, 2026, before students return to campus on Friday, August 7, 2026. Schools will be closed on Monday, September 7, 2026, for Labor Day and Fall Break on October 12-16, 2026.

Thanksgiving Break will take place November 23-27, and Winter Break will be December 21, 2026-January 4, 2027. Students will return on Tuesday, January 5, 2027, for the beginning of the second semester.

Students will be off on Monday, January 18, 2027, for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Spring Break is March 15-19, 2027, and students will also be off March 26 and 29, 2027, for Easter Break.

The last day for students is Thursday, May 27, 2027, while teachers have professional development on May 28, 2027, which is their last day of the school year.

Parent-Teacher Conference Days will take place on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, and Wednesday, February 17, 2027.
