Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports (PBIS)
Welcome to our page which celebrates "Pawsitive" behavior throughout our district!
PBIS, which is formally known as Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports, is a tool to help improve school culture, positive student behavior and promote a safe learning environment. Teachers, administrators and staff partner PBIS with our Student Code of Conduct to promote student academic and behavioral success. MPSD Schools have been implementing PBIS for 9 years with all schools being recognized as "MODEL PBIS" schools. Through the process of implementing PBIS, each school PBIS Team works to create a school motto, set school expectations, and plans events for students to celebrate their work in making positive choices. This team also works to implement supports for students who are struggling to meet the expectations set forth by the school and district.
Please read the brochure below and take time to review the information with your child. Please do not hesitate to contact us anytime if you have any questions or comments.
