Welcome to Meridian High School - Home of the Wildcats!
Meridian High School is in the unique position of being the only public high school in the city of Meridian, Mississippi, an urban community of approximately 44,000. The city serves as a regional trade center for eight rural communities in east Mississippi and west Alabama. We are the home of the WILDCATS and our school colors are royal blue and white.
MHS News and Notes
This past weekend, the Meridian High School Department of Theatre made waves for their performance of “And At 10:22 Time Stopped,” at the North Drama Festival hosted at Mississippi State University.
Students at Meridian High School got the chance to showcase their poetry in MHS’ Poetry Out Loud competition held in November.
Congratulations to the 2024 MHS King and Queen! Ke’Yani Grace was named the 2024 Homecoming Queen and Taderriyon Forbes was named the 2024 Homecoming King!
The Meridian High School College Fair, held earlier today, provided a valuable opportunity for 600 juniors and seniors to explore their post-high school options.
The MHS Marching Band earned all superior ratings and 3rd place overall at Copiah Academy on Saturday, October 5, 2024.
Mr. Allen Harwell's Welding students had a very special guest speaker. Mr. Arsenio Herlong, a 2010 Meridian High School graduate, talked with the students about his career as a layout welder at Fairbanks Scales.
