Welcome to Meridian High School - Home of the Wildcats!
Meridian High School is in the unique position of being the only public high school in the city of Meridian, Mississippi, an urban community of approximately 44,000. The city serves as a regional trade center for eight rural communities in east Mississippi and west Alabama. We are the home of the WILDCATS and our school colors are royal blue and white.
MHS News and Notes
Meridian High School hosted a Parent Meeting on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, for parents and guardians of incoming sophomores for the 2025-2026 school year to talk about the Academies of Meridian.
Congratulations to MHS' Ronald Norman, Jr. for being selected at the 2024-2025 STAR Student and Donna Smith being named STAR Teacher by the Mississippi Economic Council.
The Meridian High School Wildcat Players were invited to Center Stage in Gulfport, MS, to perform their award winning show “And At 10:22 Time Stopped” (The Bombing of 16th Street Baptist Church). The performance will take place on Friday, March 7, 2025, at the Center Stage Theatre in Gulfport, MS.
It’s a great day to be a Wildcat!!! MHS Choirs showcased their commitment to excellence while competing at the MHSAA State Performance Assessment today.
Meridian High School’s 9th-grade students got a hands-on lesson in financial literacy during the annual Reality Check event, held in the MHS gym.
Congratulations to Autumn Hampton, a 10th grader at Meridian High School, for placing 4th in 10th Grade Science and Senior Jaden Mosley for placing 4th in Division 2 Poetry at the MS BETA Convention in Biloxi, MS.
