Meridian High School
Welcome to Meridian High School - Home of the Wildcats!
Meridian High School is in the unique position of being the only public high school in the city of Meridian, Mississippi, an urban community of approximately 44,000. The city serves as a regional trade center for eight rural communities in east Mississippi and west Alabama. We are the home of the WILDCATS and our school colors are royal blue and white.

Meridian High School is proud to spotlight Jaden, an exceptional student whose academic excellence, leadership, and creativity have set her apart as one of the school’s most accomplished seniors.
With plans to attend Duke University and major in Psychology, Jaden is already charting a clear path toward her goal of becoming a forensic psychologist.

Meridian High School is growing beyond the classroom walls in the most refreshing way possible. Thanks to the generous support of 1st Mississippi Federal Credit Union, the school’s courtyard is being transformed into a vibrant outdoor learning space designed to inspire students and expand opportunities for engagement.

Four outstanding students from Meridian High School were honored at the 2026 Mississippi Scholastic Writing Awards Ceremony, held at the beautiful Eudora Welty House and Garden on Sunday, April 12, 2026.
