Meridian High School
Welcome to Meridian High School - Home of the Wildcats!
Meridian High School is in the unique position of being the only public high school in the city of Meridian, Mississippi, an urban community of approximately 44,000. The city serves as a regional trade center for eight rural communities in east Mississippi and west Alabama. We are the home of the WILDCATS and our school colors are royal blue and white.
MHS News and Notes
Family and friends celebrated the Meridian High School Class of 2025 for the final time during the commencement ceremony which took place on Friday, May 23, 2025, at 9 a.m. at Ray Stadium, located on the campus of Meridian High School.
The auditorium of Meridian High School shimmered with pride, hope, and heartfelt tributes on the evening of May 1, 2025, as students, families, educators, and community members gathered for the annual Senior Honors and Awards Program.
The voices of Meridian High School filled the air, as the MHS Choirs presented their spring concert, Accents of Blue. The concert was held at 5:30 PM in the MHS Auditorium on the campus of Meridian High School.
The Meridian High School Chess Team competed in the MSCA Scholastic Team Chess Championships on Saturday, April 26, 2025, on the campus of Mississippi State University.
On May 2, 2025, Meridian High School honored its graduating seniors with a spirited College Signing Day celebration in the Boys Gymnasium. The event recognized students' post-graduation plans, from college and military commitments to entering the workforce.
Meridian High School hosted a Parent Meeting on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, for parents and guardians of incoming sophomores for the 2025-2026 school year to talk about the Academies of Meridian.
