Welcome to Meridian High School - Home of the Wildcats!

Meridian High School is in the unique position of being the only public high school in the city of Meridian, Mississippi, an urban community of approximately 44,000.  The city serves as a regional trade center for eight rural communities in east Mississippi and west Alabama.  We are the home of the WILDCATS and our school colors are royal blue and white.

NAHS hosts Empty Bowls

Meridian High School’s National Art Honor Society opened its doors on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, for the annual Empty Bowls fundraiser, welcoming families, friends, and community members in the spirit of art, service, and support for those in need.

Wildcat Players advance to State

The MHS Wildcat Players advanced to State after their performance of "A Carefully Calculated Murder," this past weekend in Starkville at North DramaFest. State competition will take place in January in Oxford, MS.

Wildcat Players Bring History to the Stage

The Wildcat Players of Meridian High School took the stage last night to perform “A Carefully Calculated Murder,” an original play written and directed by MHS Theatre Randy Ferino Wayne and co-directed by MHS student Tyler Hopson.
