Meridian High School
Welcome to Meridian High School - Home of the Wildcats!
Meridian High School is in the unique position of being the only public high school in the city of Meridian, Mississippi, an urban community of approximately 44,000. The city serves as a regional trade center for eight rural communities in east Mississippi and west Alabama. We are the home of the WILDCATS and our school colors are royal blue and white.

Meridian High School recently held its initial Academies Steering Committee meetings, bringing together district and school leaders, educators, and community partners to continue shaping the future of the Academies at Meridian High School on Thursday, November 6, 2025.

The Meridian High School Wildcat Band is your US Bands 2025 STATS South Champion in the Inaugural US Bands Competition held in Ellisville, MS, over the weekend!

Meridian High School proudly crowned Jayden Johnson as the 2025 Homecoming King and Le’Tedra Amos as the 2025 Homecoming Queen during halftime of the Wildcats’ football game against Pearl on Friday, October 10, 2025.

Meridian High School will have its annual Homecoming Parade on Thursday, October 9, 2025, beginning at 5:30 p.m. The Grand Marshall of the Parade will be Mr. Robert Markham, a longtime MPSD educator and principal.
