Wildcats, Lady Wildcats pick up impressive wins on Senior Night

There was a buzz in the air, and the gym was electric as the MHS Boys and Girls Basketball teams honored seniors on Tuesday, February 3, 2026.
The Lady Wildcats honored BaLeigh Hedgemon, Kimora Hughes, and Mallory Mosley during the Senior Night celebration, which took place between the girls’ and boys’ games against Oak Grove.
The Wildcats honored Mequin Curry, William Davidson, William Hodges, Deontae Hopper, Joe Horne, Joshua Jones, Stevie McClelland, and Joshua Randolph.
Both the Wildcats and Lady Wildcats came away with impressive victories over the visiting Warriors.
The Wildcats travel to Brandon on Friday, February 6, 2026, for the final game of the regular season. The Meridian boys are currently 16–8 with an 8–1 record in district play, while the Lady Wildcats are 13–12 with a 7–2 record in district play.
