Congratulations to the MHS Class of 2025

Family and friends celebrated the Meridian High School Class of 2025 for the final time during the commencement ceremony which took place on Friday, May 23, 2025, at 9 a.m. at Ray Stadium, located on the campus of Meridian High School.
“The class of 2025 has persevered, and they are prepared to embrace any challenge they may face,” said Angela McQuarley, MHS Principal. “I encourage each student to follow their passion and remember that every great achievement starts with the courage to take the first choice. Your potential is limitless. Go out and make your mark on the world. Congratulations, and I am very proud of this class.”
This year, 311 students graduated, marking a significant milestone in their academic journeys. Of those graduates:
- 102 students earned honors or high honors
- 95 students achieved Silver level or higher on the ACT WorkKeys assessment
- 9 students earned a composite score of 25 or higher on the ACT
- 23 students were recognized with MHS Service Awards for their outstanding contributions to the school and community
- 13 students received the prestigious title of Mississippi Scholar
- 13 students earned Distinguished Honor Medals for academic excellence
Looking ahead, the Class of 2025 is prepared to pursue a wide array of post-secondary goals:
- 200 students will continue their education at a college or university
- 30 students plan to attend a trade or technical school
- 25 students have committed to serving in the United States Armed Forces
Meridian High School proudly announces Dane Hill as the Valedictorian and Chloe Braxton as the Salutatorian of the Class of 2025. The STAR Student honor goes to Ronald Norman, Jr., who is also celebrated alongside Chloe Braxton as Mr. and Miss MHS.
The 2025 inductees into the Meridian High School Hall of Fame are Chloe Braxton, Dane Hill, Evelyn Jones, Ronald Norman, Jr., and Anyla Stevenson, recognized for their exceptional leadership, academic excellence, and outstanding contributions to the MHS community.
"The Class of 2025 has demonstrated remarkable resilience, determination, and excellence throughout their academic journey," said Dr. Amy Carter, Superintendent of the Meridian Public School District. "Their achievements reflect not only their hard work but also the unwavering support of our dedicated educators, families, and the entire MHS community. As they step into the next chapter of their lives, I am confident they will continue to make us proud and contribute positively to our society."
The administration and staff at Meridian High School commend the Class of 2025 for their hard work, resilience, and commitment to excellence, and look forward to celebrating their achievements during the upcoming commencement ceremony.
