Meridian High School Celebrates College Signing Day 2025

MHS Senior Signing Day 1

On May 2, 2025, Meridian High School honored its graduating seniors with a spirited College Signing Day celebration in the Boys Gymnasium. The event recognized students' post-graduation plans, from college and military commitments to entering the workforce.

The ceremony began with a grand senior entrance and a presentation of colors by the MHS JROTC. Student leaders Taderriyon Forbes and Janiya Hill delivered a warm welcome, reflecting on the class's shared journey. A heartfelt tribute followed from Kyndal Arrington, Ken’Niah Payne, and Destiny Roberts, recognizing the support of families, classmates, and faculty.

Principal Angela McQuarley offered encouraging remarks, followed by a keynote address from Richard McQuarley, a 2014 MHS graduate. His story of growth and perseverance inspired students to embrace their futures with confidence.

The event also highlighted seniors heading into the workforce and those committing to military service. The drumline energized the crowd before the college signing portion, where students proudly announced their chosen schools and signed letters of intent.

The celebration concluded with the traditional Senior Exit and a balloon release on the football field—symbolizing the launch of the Class of 2025 into their next chapter.

Meridian High’s College Signing Day captured the pride, promise, and excitement of a class ready to take on the world.
