Meridian High School Hosts Male Empowerment Program

Meridian High School held a Male Empowerment event on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. in the school auditorium. The program was designed to encourage young men to pursue excellence, make positive choices, and prepare for future success.
The event featured Chief Malachi Sanders of the Meridian Police Department and Captain Jeffrey Willis of the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation as guest speakers. Both leaders shared inspiring messages focused on leadership, responsibility, and the importance of education in shaping opportunities for the future.
“Providing our students with positive role models and real-world guidance is critical to their development,” said Principal Sherrod Miller. “Events like the Male Empowerment program reinforce the values of hard work, respect, and determination that we strive to instill every day at Meridian High School.”
