Meridian High School Seniors Celebrate Bright Futures on College Signing Day

More than 160 seniors from Meridian High School proudly made their post-graduation plans known during the school’s annual College Signing Day celebration held Friday, May 8. The exciting event highlighted the many paths members of the Class of 2026 will take after graduation, showcasing the determination and accomplishments of Meridian’s future leaders.

Students announced plans to attend a wide range of colleges and universities across the country, enlist in every branch of the United States military, and pursue career and workforce opportunities. Wildcats signed with institutions including Mississippi State University, Duke University, University of Mississippi, The University of Southern Mississippi, The University of Texas at Austin, Alabama A&M University, Alabama State University, Meridian Community College, Jackson State University, Tugaloo College, Alcorn State University, The University of Alabama-Birmingham, North Carolina A&T, and the University of West Alabama.

Family members, teachers, administrators, and fellow students gathered to recognize the achievements of the Wildcats as they prepare to begin the next chapter of their lives. The atmosphere inside Meridian High School was filled with excitement, pride, and encouragement as each senior was celebrated for reaching this important milestone.

The Meridian High School Class of 2026 continues to leave its mark through academic achievement, leadership, service, athletics, fine arts, and career readiness. No matter which path they choose, these Wildcats are stepping confidently into bright futures.
