Meridian High School Theatre Department Shines at North Drama Festival, Advances to State Finals!

Meridian, MS — This past weekend, the Meridian High School Department of Theatre made waves for their performance of “And At 10:22 Time Stopped,” at the North Drama Festival hosted at Mississippi State University. Their outstanding performances and hard work earned them multiple awards and the coveted honor of advancing to the Mississippi Theatre Association 2025 State Festival, set to take place at the MSU Riley Center for Education and Performing Arts this January.

The department's achievements include:

  • Distinguished Play Award – Securing their spot in the State Finals.
  • Outstanding Scenic Design Award – Recognizing their exceptional artistry and creativity.
  • Outstanding Performance in a Supporting Role – Awarded to Carlos Bell for his standout performance.
  • All-Star Cast Award – Earned by Marley Foy for her remarkable talent and contribution to the cast.

The State Finals will bring top high school theatre programs from across Mississippi to MSU Riley Center for Education and Performing Arts in Meridian, creating an exciting showcase of talent and creativity.
