Meridian High School Welcomes New Honor Society and Student Council Members

MHS BETA Induction Fall 2025

Meridian High School celebrated academic excellence and student leadership during an induction ceremony held on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, in the MHS Auditorium. New members were welcomed into the BETA Club, the RHO KAPPA National Social Studies Honor Society, and the MHS Student Council.

MHS alumnae Erica Glover served as the event’s special guest speaker, offering encouragement and insight as students stepped into new roles of scholarship and service.

A total of 67 students were inducted into the BETA Club, recognizing their commitment to academic achievement and character. The ceremony also marked a milestone for the school as 9 students were welcomed into the inaugural class of RHO KAPPA, joining the national honor society dedicated to excellence in social studies. In addition, 13 students were inducted into Student Council, taking on leadership positions that help guide student activities and school culture.

During the program, MHS also recognized the dedication of its BETA Club sponsors. Charletha Fuqua was honored for five years of service to MHS BETA, and Jeffrey Gordon was recognized for one year of service.

The ceremony highlighted the accomplishments and potential of Meridian High School’s student leaders, honoring their commitment to academics, service, and community involvement.
