MHS Students participate in Advanced STEM Summer Prep Program at MSU

MHS STEM Students at MSU Camp

Ten Meridian High School students spent the week of June 9-13, 2025, at the Advanced STEM Summer Prep Program. The week-long program, led by the Global Teaching Project, and took place on the campus of Mississippi State University in Starkville, MS.

They tackled AP-level science, technology, engineering, and mathematics content, worked with expert instructors, got a taste of college life, and connected with other motivated students from across the state.

Students who participated in the camp are Kamora Ruffin, Baylee Coker, Ashley Allen, Allen Huang, Amariyon Cole, Matthew Wilson, Jayden Suttles, Makenzye Moore, Saneisha Erving, and Rowan Thomas.

On Wednesday, three of our teachers -- Savannah Poe, Quashaine Morgan, and Jonathan Achatz -- joined in to cheer them on and learn alongside them. The MHS family is so proud of our Wildcats putting in the work and rising to the challenge!
