The start of the 2024-2025 school year is right around the corner. Here is some important information for all MPSD students and parents to help make sure the start of this school year is the best yet!
First Day of School
The first day of the 2024-2025 school year is on Tuesday, August 6, 2024. You can view the 2024-2025 academic calendar here.
Online Registration
Online Registration will reopen on Thursday, August 1, 2024. You can register at www.mpsdk12.net. For a list of required documents for student registration click here.
Open House
Open House will take place at All MPSD schools on Sunday, August 4, 2024.
Marion Park & RISE: 2 p.m.-4 p.m.
PreK-5th Grade: 2 p.m.- 4 p.m.
6th-12th Grade: 3 p.m.- 5 p.m.
Students and parents will have the chance to see their school and visit their classroom.
121 Vaccination Forms for 7th Graders
The State of Mississippi requires all students entering the 7th grade to provide proof of an updated TDAP (tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis) booster. A recent TDAP booster is defined as being administered after the age of seven.
Students may not be enrolled without submission of the required 121 Vaccination Form.

Greater Meridian Health Clinic On Campus Locations
Students still needing to get their vaccination can use either GMHC-School Based Clinic located at the Harris Complex Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-11 a.m. and 1 p.m.-3:30 p.m.
Lauderdale County Health Department
The Lauderdale County Health Department will hold two special Immunization Events on July 31, 2024 and August 5, 2024, from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. The Lauderdale County Health Department is located at 5224 Valley Street, Meridian, MS, 39307. You can schedule an apportionment by calling 1-855-767-0170, or walk in from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
