Dr. Carter joins local education leaders to discuss education with Leadership Lauderdale
MPSD Superintendent Dr. Amy Carter joined leaders from area public schools and colleges for a panel discussion on educating today’s workforce with members of Leadership Lauderdale on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at the MCC Workforce Development Center.
Some topics discussed were trends in education, the use of A.I., and the push to make learning relevant to today’s students.
Other panelists were Dr. John-Mark Cain, Lauderdale County School District Superintendent; Dr. Thomas Huebner, President of Meridian Community College; and Dr. David Buys, Head of Campus Mississippi State University-Meridian.
The Leadership Lauderdale program provides participants an opportunity to enhance their civic knowledge and network. For more than 15 years, the program has helped participants better understand how our community works, build relationships with the area's current and future leaders, and become inspired to serve our community.
