Ross Collins receives Industry Certification Grant Award

Ross Collins Career and Technical Center was recently notified that it will be a recipient of the FY24 Industry Certification Grant Award. The Mississippi Legislature awards public schools whose enrolled CTE students earn a qualifying industry certification.

Ross Collins will receive a grant award of $58,800 based on the number of students who completed an industry certification for the FY 24 school year. The funds will be able to be used for the following: examination fees for qualifying industry certifications, professional development for CTE teachers, student instructional support for programs that lead to qualifying industry certifications, and activities to increase access to qualifying industry certifications.

RCCTC had over 100 students receive a national certification within their career pathway. Students who earn these national certifications become more employable and have proven they have mastered the skills within their career and technical programs.
