Elementary students lace up running shoes for Track Meet

Students compete in the MPSD Elementary Track Meet

Students from all five Meridian Public School District elementary schools laced up their running shoes today for the district’s Elementary Track Meet. The event gave students the opportunity to proudly represent their schools while competing in a variety of races that highlighted teamwork, athleticism, and school spirit.

The meet featured races for 1st–3rd grade students, with both boys and girls competing in multiple track events. Individual competitions included the 100m, 200m, and 400m races, while teams showcased their relay skills in the 4x100, 4x200, and 4x400 meter relays.

The event not only encouraged physical fitness but also fostered camaraderie, sportsmanship, and healthy competition among students across the district.

The MPSD Elementary Track Meet is an exciting tradition that allows students to shine both individually and as part of a team, while celebrating the district’s commitment to developing well-rounded learners inside and outside the classroom.
