Meridian Public School District to Host Districtwide Open House on August 6

The Meridian Public School District is inviting families to kick off the new school year by attending the district's Open House on Thursday, August 6, 2026, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at all MPSD campuses.

Open House provides parents, guardians, and scholars with the opportunity to meet teachers and school staff, tour classrooms, and become familiar with their campus before the first day of school. Families will also receive important information about the upcoming school year, including school expectations, schedules, transportation, and other resources to help ensure a successful start.

"We are excited to welcome our scholars and families back to our campuses," said Superintendent Dr. Amy Carter. "Open House is a wonderful opportunity to build strong connections between our schools and the families we serve. We encourage every family to attend and begin the school year together."

Parents are encouraged to complete their scholar's registration prior to Open House to help ensure a smooth transition into the new school year.

The first day of school for Meridian Public School District scholars is Friday, August 7, 2026. District leaders encourage all families to attend Open House to ensure scholars are prepared and excited for a successful first day.
