NW Band excels at JSU Honor Band Festival
On January 31, 2025, eighteen talented students from Northwest Middle School were selected to participate in THEE Jackson State University Honor Band after a rigorous audition process. We are incredibly proud to share that Northwest students placed in the top five of every instrument category! Student Chair Placements:

The JSU Honor Band Festival was an exciting and memorable experience for our young musicians, culminating in an outstanding performance on February 1 for the Jackson community. On behalf of the directors, Mr. Kidd and Mr. Armstrong, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to our incredible administrators—Mr. McDonald, Mr. Delk, Ms. Pace, and Mr. Altman—for their unwavering support of our band program and the arts at Northwest Middle School.
