Updates from the November 13, 2023, School Board Meeting
The Meridian Public School District Board of Trustees met for its regularly scheduled monthly meeting on Monday, November 13, 2023, on the campus of Poplar Springs Elementary School. The meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m. by MPSD Board President Sally Gray. After that, members of the Poplar Springs Elementary Student Council led attendees in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Coach Boyles picks up 300th career victory
Meridian High School Head Football Coach Marcus Boyles joined some rare company after the Wildcats picked up their 35-23 victory over Ocean Springs in the First Round of the MHSAA Class 7A Playoffs on Friday, November 10, 2023.

1966-67 MHS Wildcats honored during Oak Grove game
The 1966-67 Wildcats of Mississippi Hall of Fame Coach Bob Tyler was the most dominant high school football team in Mississippi during the 1960s. MHS won two Big 8 Championships, and two State Championships and was ranked No. 5 nationally by Scholastic Roto magazine over the two-year period.
