The Meridian Public School District Director of Public Relations works with the Superintendent, administrators, staff, community, and media to provide accurate, up-to-date information as well as highlight the successes of our district and schools. Media relations, crisis communications, photos, newsletters, events, communication policy, recognitions, social media management, and image management are all part of the Communication Department.
MPSD uses a variety of methods to communicate general, day-to-day news as well as emergency alerts (such as weather-related school closures). Be sure to follow the Meridian Public School District on Facebook, Instagram (@mpsdwildcas), and Twitter (@MPSD_Wildcats).

Over 170 MPSD Kindergarten students excel on the Star Early Literacy Test
The love of reading is paying off for kindergarten students in the Meridian Public School District. Over 170 MPSD kindergarten students scored 605 or higher on the Star Early Literacy Test and now they get to visit the Wildcat Wagon.

West Hills named top in state by Imagine Math
Students at West Hills Elementary School were recognized as being the Imagine Math K-2 Fall 2022 Star School in a ceremony held on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, in the library at the school.

Two MPSD students named winners of Paper Winter Challenge
Paper held a “12 Days of Paper Math Missions Challenge” from December 5-December 20, 2022. During the challenge, students were asked to complete as many Paper Math Missions as they could on the platform, and the top 15 students from each RESA would earn a jam-packed Paper Swag Box! We are so excited that two students for MPSD were named as winners.
