  • MPSD launches 2022 Summer Feeding Program on June 1, 2022

    The Meridian Public School District is excited to announce the return of the Summer Feeding Program! The program is taking place from June 1, 2022, until Friday, July 22, 2022. We will be serving free meals to children 18 years old and younger during the summer. Meals may be picked up at the following school sites: Meridian High School, Magnolia Middle School, and TJ Harris Upper Elementary.

  • Congratulations to the MHS Class of 2022

    Congratulations to the Meridian High School Class of 2022. Two hundred and seventy students received their diplomas as they crossed the stage at Ray Stadium on Friday, May 27, 2022. Seventy-eight students finished their high school career as Honor graduates with a GPA of 3.25 or higher. One hundred and Sixty students will be attending a college or university, joining the military, or entering the workforce now that they have graduated.

  • Superintendent's Update: May 26, 2022

    During a special called meeting, the Meridian Public School District Board of Trustees voted to approve a recommendation to consolidate the district’s three existing middle schools into two campuses beginning with the 2022-2023 school year.

  • Students celebrate the arts at PSE

    Poplar Springs Elementary hosted “Celebrate Arts” on Tuesday, May 17, 2022,  from 9:00 until 2:00. Celebrate Arts is a school-wide event in which volunteer artists from the community serve students by showing their art specialty.

  • Senior Signing Day at MHS

    Over 160 seniors at Meridian High School made the pledge to the colleges and universities they will be attending once they graduate from MHS during a Senior Signing Day Ceremony held at Meridian High School on Friday, May 6, 2022. Ten students signed with different branches of the military.

  • Young Entrepreneur Expo at Ross Collins Career and Technical Center

    The first Youth Entrepreneur Expo took place on Thursday, May 5, 2022, from 9 a.m.-Noon at Ross Collins Career and Technical Center. Students at Ross Collins Career and Technical Center had the opportunity to learn how to obtain an LLC, learn about personal and business credit, and hear local success stories from local small business owners.

  • Meridian High School Named National Beta School of Merit

    Meridian Public School District is proud to announce that Meridian High School is a 2021-2022 National Beta School of Merit. The school earned this recognition by offering National Beta to all eligible grades on their campus. National Junior Beta includes grades 4-8 and National Senior Beta includes grades 9-12.
