MHS' Miller named 2021-2022 District Teacher of the Year
Meridian High School’s Stacey Miller was named the 2021-2022 MPSD Teacher of the Year during the January 18, 2022, meeting of the MPSD Board of Trustees. Miller, who teaches Science at Meridian High School, has taught in MPSD since 1996. Miller was also named Teacher of the Year at Meridian High School as well.

Pre-Registration open for the Little Wildcats Pre-K Program
Registration for the 2022 Little Wildcats Pre-K Program will begin on February 1, 2022. Students must be 4 years old on or before September 1, 2022, to qualify for the program.

MPSD Board of Trustees approves partnership with Maverick Health to make no cost COVID-19 Test available
On Tuesday, January 18, 2022, the MPSD Board of Trustees approved an agreement with Maverick Health to make COVID-19 testing available to MPSD staff and students at no cost. Testing will be available at different MPSD sites daily.

Superintendent's Update for January 19, 2022: MHS shifts to Virtual Learning
After much consideration, we have determined that Meridian High School will transition to virtual learning as a precaution due to COVID-19 safety concerns. With the number of teachers and students testing positive or being quarantined, it’s difficult to continue face-to-face instruction and supervise students with staff. The school will participate in virtual learning for five days beginning tomorrow, January 20, 2022, and return to face-to-face instruction on Tuesday, January 25, 2022.
