Three Lady Wildcats sign to play at the next level
Today was a big day for the Lady Wildcat Basketball Program as three Seniors announced where they would be continuing their academic and athletic careers after graduating from Meridian High in May. The ceremony took place in the Multipurpose Building on the campus of Meridian High School.

MHS Baseball wins again
The Wildcats rolled to a 16-4 victory over Lamar on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, in high school baseball action. MHS got on the board in the top of the first inning when James Carson singled in a run for the early lead. Lamar scored three runs in the bottom of the first inning on a home run by Jackson Whitcomb.

Meridian High School’s Mikayla Smith is the newest member of the 2023 All Scholastic Sports Team. If you look up the word student-athlete in the dictionary, you might just find a picture of Mikayla Smith. On the athletic side, she was a three year member of the inaugural Lady Wildcat volleyball team and plays for the soccer team.

Two MHS coaches among twenty-five leaders are selected for the inaugural class that aims to amplify the work of Mississippi’s best high school and middle school coaches
Oxford, MS - (January 23, 2023) – Today, the Mississippi Excellence in Coaching Fellowship announced the 25 Coaches who have been selected as the program’s inaugural class. The Coaching Fellowship, also known as Tomorrow’s 25, is hosted by the University of Mississippi School of Education in partnership with the Mississippi Association of Coaches (MAC) and the Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA). Its mission is to annually select and invest in 25 coaches from across the state who have been deemed an emerging leader in the area of high school and middle school athletics. Congratulations to Meridian High School's Blake Chancelor and Tre Collins on receiving this great honor.
