Ross Collins students excel in state competitions

12 students from Ross Collins Career and Technical Center participated in the TSA state competition this week in Vicksburg, MS.  

 

Mississippi currently has approximately 1400 TSA members and Ross Collins CTE rose to the top with their competition entries!

The following students participated:  Devontae Hunter, Sam Madden, Madison Lee, Eric Franklin, Zeke Pulido, Marisol Garcia, Denver Todd, Dominic Norrington, Ethan Johnson, Ali Mehr, Antonio Bender.

 

Below are the results from the competition:

 

Board Game:  1st place

Video Game Design:  1st place

Software Design:  2nd place

Animatronics:  3rd place

Engineering Design:  1st place

WebMaster:  2nd place

Coding:  1st place

Extraneous Speech (Devontae Hunter):  3rd place

 

Seaperch Competition

Engineering students from Ross Collins CTC competed in an underwater robotics competition called "Seaperch" on March 23rd.  The event was held at the Sanderson Center on the Campus of Mississippi State University. The team placed 1st with their engineering notebook and 2nd in performance.  The team also won overall High School team at the competition.
