New teachers in the Meridian Public School District were welcomed to the district during a “Welcome to MPSD” conference that took place July 27-29, 2022.
“The purpose of this welcome event is to make sure all of our new teachers are equipped with what they need to be successful,” said Kimberly Kendrick, MPSD Director of Human Resources. “It’s important for us to make a connection with all of our staff.”
Over the course of the three-day event, teachers were able to hear from and meet district personnel, learn about the MPSD way and learn tips for starting strong with classroom systems.
New teachers spent their final day on their campus talking with their administrator and school team.
“I welcome these new educators to MPSD and I look forward to seeing how they inspire excellence in our students this year,” said Dr. Amy Carter, MPSD Superintendent.
