Thursday, September 22, 2022 — Staff at Parkview Elementary were surprised today when they were named the Meridian Public School District’s first “Totally Tech-tastic” school of the new year.

Parkview’s students and teachers have been utilizing our new resource from the Mississippi Department of Education called Paper during and after school. They have completed almost 150 tutoring sessions with the program. 

Paper's Live chat feature allows students to message 1-on-1 with a tutor. Students can share the question they need help with by typing it out, uploading a screenshot, or uploading files from their teachers. Tutors ask guiding questions to help students understand their homework, never giving away any answers. 

Every month the MPSD Technology Department will select one school in the district that is going over and beyond integrating technology in the classroom. The selected school will receive both the district Totally Tech-Tastic trophy and banner to display at their school for the month.
