MHS celebrates International Women's Day

In honor of International Women’s Day, the MHS Marching Band color guard hosted Women’s Week on the MHS Campus. On Wednesday, March 8, 2023 MHS Senior girl students had the chance to hear from noted women who have excelled in the community. The topic discussed was “What does it mean to be a Queen?”

The panel consisted of Kimberly Houston, a local businesswoman and MPSD School Board Member, Ashley Jordan, business owner, Kajsa Cole, business owner, and Avaionia Smith, WTOK Morning Meteorologist.

The discussion was aimed at talking to the students about self-worth and letting them know that they can accomplish anything they put their mind to.
