Parkview students complete D.A.R.E. program
Congratulations to the students at Parkview Elementary who completed the D.A.R.E. program. A ceremony was held on the campus of Magnolia Middle School on Friday, March 10, 2023.
“Today, we are here to showcase our graduates from the D.A.R.E. program. They came to class every week, put in the hard work, learning the new curriculum,” said SRO Antonio Naylor, Parkview D.A.R.E. Instructor and School Resource Officer. “Hopefully this right here will pour over into the community, their lives and futures, and they can use these skills for a long time to come.”
D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education), was founded in 1983 and the acclaimed program gives kids the skills they need to avoid involvement in drugs, gangs, and violence.
The ceremony was attended by students, family, and many local officials and law enforcement.
For completing the class students received a medal, certificate, and backpack.
