As Superintendent, my main concern for our students, their families, and our staff is their safety and well-being.
Due to recent events, I have to look at every option available in order to provide our graduates and their families with the safest ceremony possible.
Out of an abundance of caution, we are moving the 2023 MHS Graduation to The Evangel Temple located at 3611 MS-145 Meridian, MS 39301 on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at 9 a.m. Please remember to refer to the Graduation Notes on what is permitted inside the facility.
There will be safety checkpoints at all entrances. Due to the limited amount of parking available, please consider carpooling if possible. As always, security will be present during the ceremony.
Each graduate will receive 7 tickets for family members to attend the ceremony. Check our website for additional information regarding the ceremony.
Admission to Meridian Public School District events is subject to compliance with all state laws and facility rules and the attendee consents to reasonable examinations and searches to ensure compliance. Failure to comply with the law or facility rules may result in refusal of admission or removal from the event.
Please know that this decision was not made lightly and we hope you help us make this ceremony the best for the graduates of the MHS Class of 2023.
