The Meridian High School MHSAA 6A Girls Basketball State Champion Meridian High School Lady Wildcats were honored in the House by Representative Charles L. Young, Jr. and Representative Billy Adam Calvert and in the Senate by Senator Rod Hickman and Senator Jeff Tate at the State Capitol in Jackson, MS, on Thursday, March 10, 2022. The Lady Wildcats defeated Harrison County 49-43 on Saturday, March 5, 2022, to claim the program’s first State Championship.
