Softball tops Starkville to end season

Oaklynne Daugherty was clutch at the plate with ducks on the pond on Tuesday, driving in four on three hits to lead Meridian Wildcats past Starkville 14-3 on Tuesday. Daugherty drove in runs on a single in the first and a home run in the fifth.
 
Meridian Wildcats fired up the offense in the first inning.  Jazlynn Sulton singled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run.
 
Sulton got the win for Meridian Wildcats. The bulldog lasted six innings, allowing two hits and three runs while striking out nine.
 
Meridian Wildcats socked one home run on the day. Daugherty went yard in the fifth inning.
 
Meridian Wildcats tallied 13 hits on the day.  Daugherty, Jada Green, Zyon Moffite, and Sulton all managed multiple hits for Meridian Wildcats.  Daugherty led Meridian Wildcats with three hits in four at-bats.  Meridian Wildcats stole six bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Zaniya Rush led the way with two.
