The MHS Boys finished 2nd Overall in the 6A South State Track Meet on Saturday, April 23, 2022. Both the Wildcats and Lady Wildcats advanced to the 6A State Track Meet.

Jeffery Gathright finished 1st in the 100m Dash with a time of 10.9.

Jeffrey Gathright also finished 1st in the 200m Dash with a time of 22.02.

QuinDarius Jones finished 3rd in the 200m with a time of 22.2. 

QuinDarius Jones also finished 3rd in the Long Jump with a jump of 21-11. 

Daniel Hill finished 2nd in the 110mh with a time of 15.5. 

Daniel Hill finished 1st in the 300mh with a time of 40.5

Johnathan Vaughn finished 4th in the Triple Jump with a jump of 42-6.  

The Boys 4x100 Meter Relay won 1st place with a time of 42.7.

The Boys 4x200 Meter Relay won 3rd place with a time of 1:29.

Lady Wildcats

The following Lady Cats will advance to the 6A State Track Meet. 

Aaliiya Mendiola took 3rd place in the 110mh with a time of 16.5.

Jada Portis took 4th place in the 200m dash with a time of 25.8. Jada’s time places her 4th overall in school history according to the Milesplit Track and Field Database. 

The Girls 4x100 Meter Relay took 4th place with a time of 49.6

2nd Leg - Malia Scott (8th)

3rd Leg - Serenity Reed (8th)

4th Leg - Jada Portis (12th)

The Girls 4x800 Meter Relay took 4th place with a time of 10:38. 

The Girls 4x400 Meter Relay took 4th place with a time of 4:19.
