Lindsey named new MHS Baseball Coach
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
June 30, 2022 -- The Meridian Public School District Board of Trustees approved the hiring of Michael Lindsey as the new head coach of the Meridian High School Baseball program.
“We are extremely excited to announce Michael Lindsey,” said Dr. Cheyenne Trussell, MPSD Athletic Director. “Coach Lindsey is no stranger to the Wildcat Baseball Program.”
Coach Lindsey takes the helm of the Wildcats with 6 years of coaching experience from Petal, Hattiesburg, and Meridian where he served as an assistant coach for the 2022 season. His coaching duties consisted of working with outfielders, scheduling, and fundraising. He has played baseball at the high school, collegiate, and professional levels.
Coach Lindsey is a native of Petal, MS, and holds a B.S. in Business Administration from William Carey University, and is currently pursuing his Masters in Education from William Carey University.
There will be a formal meet and greet with Coach Lindsey on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at 2 p.m. in the MHS Multipurpose Building, where the public is invited to attend.
