Shop Talk at Magnolia Middle School
The Magnolia Middle School Male Empowerment Program hosted “Shop Talk” in the school’s auditorium on Tuesday, December 7, 2021.
During the session, male students had the chance to learn from community leaders and local barbers.
Students got to hear why it’s important to make good first impressions, how decisions they make now can affect their future, learn about finances, and many other issues that face young men today.
The event centered around how conversations take place in the barbershop and several students even received hair cuts from the barbers that were in attendance.
Shop Talk was facilitated by Magnolia Middle School Principal Sherrod Miller.
Thank you to the barbers and community leaders who shared experiences with our male students.
